The Construction Industry Council is comprised of representatives of the six largest construction bodies operating in Ireland. The websites of the Council members can be accessed by clicking on their logos below.
Chair of the Council is a rotating position. The Chairman is Micheál Mahon, former SCSI President. Secretarial support is provided by staff of the member bodies on a rotational basis. The Council meets six times a year, and has regular meetings with other professional bodies, government and international stakeholders.
Chair's Note
The Construction sector plays a vital role that benefits the Irish economy and Irish society. Through our collective membership of professionals and contractors, we ensure that homes, offices, shops, roads and other key built environment infrastructure are available. We work closely as a sector and with Government to ensure that we are meeting the expectations of members and the general public through a forum to promote innovation and address issues as they occur.

The overarching aims of the CIC are to deal with issues of common interest for the construction industry, and to act as the cohesive voice for the sector on high-level policy issues by engaging with stakeholders accordingly.
The CIC complements the work of Council members by undertaking strategic reports, engaging external expertise and providing a united voice on mutual areas of concern and interest.
